Reception (Radio's childhood)

The film was shown on 26 January 1949 on a programme with other films, among them Thorvaldsen, at a standard presentation screening. While Thorvaldsen got mixed reviews, there was nothing but praise for Radioens Barndom. Several papers put it in the headline, although not a single paper mentions Dreyer’s hand in the film. The reviews unanimously presented the film as extremely funny, an irreverent spoof of a state enterprise that could only be ridiculed in Denmark.

Dreyer at the time was credited as film editor, but it is a matter of discussion whether that was really the right credit. "Treatment" or "production" would be more appropriate.
