The Danish critics are generally positive about the film, though they do not devote much column space to it. The film is called “a great and pleasant surprise" (B.T.), and the critic for Berlingske Tidende asserts that the film "made a big hit."
A single newspaper (unidentified) is less enthusiastic, praising the "nature shots" but calling out the film’s "numerous and glaring weaknesses." Those weaknesses, however, are limited to a general criticism of the Norwegian actors, who are labelled "altogether off, weak and characterless" and mocked, moreover, for staring directly into the camera.
